What keeps people from developing their full potentials? Many develop competency, yet few develop expertise. What motivates some to pursue excellence while others are content with competence? These are some questions that I have been wrestling with.
True, the pursuit of excellence requires time, energy, and motivation – but so does mediocrity. In difference to the pursuit of excellence, mediocrity does not use energy to create and grow—it saps it silently and drains life of purpose.
So why do not more people pursue excellence?
